PAR Ohio
Established in 1968,
PAR is a professional association for individuals working in the
field of mental retardation and developmental disabilities. PAR
represents the concerns and interest of all professionals, all
disciplines, and all services in the field of mental retardation and
other developmental disabilities. PAR's primary mission is to
provide training and professional development for professionals
serving persons with disabilities.
PAR provides training
through the Annual Convention and regional trainings. These training
programs draw on professionals currently working in the field as
presenters. Based upon the evaluations of those attending, PAR
selects and recognizes Encore Presenters at future training
programs.
Representatives for PAR
serve on numerous boards and advisory committees representing the
interest of PAR members and professionals in the fields of
disabilities.
